This week seems like an improvement. I just sort of did the opposite of everything The Tao of Pooh suggests I should do. Well, not really, but I am happier because I didn't just go with the flow; I'm happier feeling because I did things. So the bad news, even though the bailout hasn't gone through yet, 30% of all our money is in the hands of only three companies now. Yeah, that's something to give you pause.

I have talked to people, and we are producing Open, the script I've been "babying" (as Russ put it) for several months now. The script still has some kinks to work out but it does make sense to let go and push forward with it. Two months is enough time (it will have to be!) to figure out the last couple wrinkles. Admit it. It feels good when four people in one night ask you when you're going to finally put them in your next movie. (Hilary, Atticus, Briana, Todd.) Ironically, though I would absolutely love working with any and all of them, the only actor I wrote a part with in mind didn't ask me that tonight.
